to host exhibit: 'Art and Architecture in Illinois Libraries'

ELKHART -- The Elkhart Public Library District
has been selected to host the traveling exhibit "Art and
Architecture in Illinois Libraries," which celebrates the rich
architectural and artistic heritage of Illinois libraries. You can
see the exhibit March 5-23 at Elkhart Library.

Using a variety of
formats, the exhibit is designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.
This exhibit was developed based on information and images collected
by Eastern Illinois University's Booth Library through surveys and
more than 600 site visits.
Funding for the project was provided by the Illinois State
Library, a division under the secretary of state, using funds from
the Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the federal
Library Services and Technology Act, and by Eastern Illinois
University, Booth Library.
