The blizzard in central Illinois on
Feb. 13 accumulated 6 to 12 inches of snow north of Interstate 70,
with local 12- to 17-inch amounts. Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph
with gusts of 35 to 55 mph created snowdrifts up to
3 to 5 feet deep. (See
