Some polling places changed for Tuesday's primary election       Send a link to a friend

[February 24, 2007]  Voters may want to check their polling spot before heading out to vote on Tuesday. Some polling places have changed locations. The change is due to the fact that the primary election does not get as large a turnout in voters. Consolidating locations saves money. (Check here.)

Dates:

  • Monday will be the last day for absentee voting that can be done in the clerk's office at the Logan County Courthouse.

  • Tuesday is the primary election.

The city of Lincoln has two contested races for alderman. Both races are for Republican representation in the April 17 general election.

  • For Ward 2: Bill Shelby and Kathleen M. Horn

  • For Ward 5: Jeff Hoinacki and Derrick R. Crane

Horn and Crane currently serve as aldermen.

Each of the candidates has been invited to submit a position paper presenting themselves, their background and what they would bring to the position of alderman for the city of Lincoln. That information will be presented in the Where They Stand section of Lincoln Daily News on Monday.
