[February 28, 2007]  A flood watch is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday afternoon. Expect scattered showers, and possibly a thunderstorm will move northeast through the area Wednesday morning. Snow, sleet and freezing rain are possible along the leading edge of this precipitation, with ice accumulations generally less than a tenth of an inch. The leading edge of this precipitation is expected to reach a Peoria-to-Bloomington line by 11:30 a.m.

Motorists should be cautious for slippery spots on roads and should take extra time to reach their destinations. Pedestrians should watch for scattered slippery spots on sidewalks.
