Celebrate
National Blood Donor Month with Central Illinois Community Blood
Center by donating the blood and "giving the gift of life." Blood is
traditionally in short supply during the winter months, due to the
holidays, travel schedules, inclement weather and illness. January,
in particular, is a difficult month for Central Illinois Community
Blood Center to collect blood donations. A reduction in turnout at
blood drives can put the blood inventory at a critical low.
Remember, it is the blood on the shelves that saves lives.

The Springfield Clinic High School Challenge is under way. Donate
blood at this blood drive and ask that your donation be credited to
a participating high school in your community. The challenge goes
through May 11 and the winning school receives a $1,000 scholarship
from Springfield Clinic to award to a graduating senior who plans on
furthering his or her education.
