[JAN. 8, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich took action Friday on the following bill:

Senate Bill 380

Concerning: School funding

Description: The bill would allow Ford Heights District 169 to impose a supplemental property tax in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The bill would also allow Oswego Community Unit School District 308 and Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 to take on more debt; the village of Forsyth, as a non-home-rule municipality, to impose sales taxes under certain conditions; and Oak Park and River Forest School District 200, Oak Park Elementary School District 97, and River Forest School District 90 to withdraw from the jurisdiction of Proviso and Cicero townships.

Action: Vetoed

Effective: Immediately
