SPRINGFIELD -- On March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3
p.m., the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will offer
"Death and Mr. Lincoln," a program including tours and a luncheon.
Join distinguished writer Thomas J. Craughwell, the author of
"Stealing Lincoln's Body," for a unique look at death, mourning and
Mr. Lincoln. The day will include specialized tours of Lincoln's
Tomb and the Museum of Funeral Customs, a luncheon presentation by
Craughwell, and a visit to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum's
featured temporary exhibit, "Tales from the Crypt: A History of the
Lincoln Tomb."

Advance copies of Craughwell's "Stealing Lincoln's Body" (Harvard
University Press, 2007) will be available for purchase.
Craughwell has written more than a dozen books on history,
religion and popular culture. His articles have appeared in the Wall
Street Journal, New York Times, American Spectator, Emmy magazine
and Inside the Vatican. He has been a guest on CNN, BBC, The
Discovery Channel and the international Catholic cable network, EWTN.
He writes out of his home in Bethel, Conn.
Professional development units will be offered for the tour.

The cost is $25 per person, which includes transportation, museum
admissions, lunch, and pre-release book signing and presentation by
Craughwell. Reservations can be made by calling 217-558-8934.
Payment by MasterCard or Visa is accepted and due at the time of the
reservation. The reservation deadline is March 1.
