Junior Master Gardeners complete 'Literature in the Garden' series

[July 05, 2007]  Logan County U of I Extension recently offered a Junior Master Gardener "Literature in the Garden" series. Eleven students ranging from 7 to 9 years old participated.  [click on picture for larger image]

The class included garden-related books that inspired learning through planting, discussion, fun activities and creative snacks at each session. Topics discussed were seeds to plants, roots, and flowers. Each participant received two books to keep as their own.
