Grand opening of McLean County Legal Self-Help Center          Send a link to a friend

[July 11, 2007]  BLOOMINGTON -- A free legal self-help center is opening at the McLean County Law and Justice Center, 104 W. Front St., to assist individuals who are not able to retain attorneys for court proceedings.

Representatives of the McLean County Circuit Court, the circuit clerk's office, the McLean County Bar Association, Prairie State Legal Services, Illinois Legal Aid Online, the Illinois Coalition for Equal Justice and other community groups will be present for the formal opening of the McLean County Legal Self-Help Center on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Room 305.

The "computer navigator" will be available to assist individuals with navigating the online site developed by Illinois Legal Aid Online to provide correct and current legal information and forms.
