Summer tea parties at Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum        Send a link to a friend

[July 14, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- On two summer Saturdays, July 21 and Aug. 11, Mary Todd Lincoln -- as portrayed by Pam Brown and Linda Schneider -- will host for afternoon tea in the Lincoln Reception Room at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. The teas are scheduled for 2 p.m. on both dates.

The three-course tea will include assorted teas, pastries, petit sandwiches and seasonal fruit. Mrs. Lincoln will greet guests and socialize during the afternoon affair.

Tickets are $25 and include an exclusive viewing, after the tea party, of the museum's temporary exhibit "Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy." Tickets may be purchased online at www.alplm.org or by calling 217-558-8934.

The teas are co-sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation.
