Corn, wheat prices slip          Send a link to a friend

[July 20, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat and corn futures fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while soybeans closed higher.

Wheat for September delivery fell 3.5 cents to settle at $6.20 a bushel; December corn dropped 6.25 cents to $3.3625 a bushel; December oats lost 9 cents to $2.4225 a bushel; November soybeans rose 5.5 cents to $8.82 a bushel.

Beef futures ended mixed and pork futures retreated on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.55 cent to 90.82 cents a pound; August feeder cattle edged up 0.05 cent to $1.1545 a pound; August lean hogs slipped 0.25 cent to 73.6 cents a pound; August pork bellies fell 1.05 cents to close at 87.25 cents a pound.
