Bizarre Friday the 13th find in Chatham           Send a link to a friend

[July 21, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- On Friday night, July 13th, the skeletal remains of two fetuses were discovered in a rubbermaid-type container at a residence on East Spruce Street in Chatham – a report from the Sangamon County Coroners stated.

The coroner’s pathologist has examined the remains. The approximate age of the fetuses was from 7-9 months. It was also determined that there was no trauma to the fetuses.

The remains could have been in the container as long as one to 10 years.

No further information was available. “This is all the information that we have at this time,” the report by Coroner Susan Boone stated.

The investigation is ongoing by the Chatham Police Department and the Coroner’s office.
