Grains rise, livestock mostly fall          Send a link to a friend

[July 27, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat, corn, and soybean futures rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 17 cents to close at $6.51 a bushel; December corn rose 5.75 cents to $3.3300 a bushel; December oats rose 4.25 cents to $2.6300 a bushel; November soybeans rose 7.25 cents to $8.4650 a bushel.

Cattle and hog futures were mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.05 cent to finish at 92.02 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.55 cent to $1.1640 a pound; August lean hogs fell 0.90 cent to 73.20 cents a pound; August pork bellies slipped 0.85 cent to 89.30 cents per pound.
