Joe E. Sarver

[July 30, 2007]  Joe E. Sarver, 69, of Lincoln died Friday, July 27, 2007, at 1:10 p.m. at his home.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ben Manley officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time.

Burial will be in the New Union Cemetery.

Mr. Sarver worked at Sunny Acres egg plant in Lincoln and later retired from Lincoln Community High School as a custodian.

He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Cowden to Eli Casper and Ida Ann Black Sarver. He married Opal Wyatt on Feb. 16, 1962, in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two daughters, Jenny Kirk of Atlanta and Joela Sarver of Riverton; one son, Micky Sarver of Lexington, N.C.; two sisters, Lucille Knapp of Effingham and Burnas Hudson of Robinson; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
