Head Start preschool program enrollment open

[July 31, 2007]  The CIEDC Head Start program is currently accepting applications for the 2007-2008 program year. Head Start is a free preschool program for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. When you complete an application, receive a free book while supplies last.

Head Start is designed to provide a variety of opportunities to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally in an age-appropriate manner. Children with disabilities are welcome. Dual enrollment with the school district is accommodated.

The program operates in Lincoln with double sessions Monday through Thursday, 8:30-noon or noon-3:30, and a single session Monday through Thursday, five hours a day, on a school year basis.

Transportation (for the double sessions only), nutritious snacks and lunches are provided. Children will also receive hearing, vision, speech and dental screenings.
