[June 21, 2007]  Emergency Management Agency director Dan Fulscher updated the county board on the construction of the new 911 communications center at the Logan County Safety Complex. Fulscher advised that the project is about 40 percent done, with the goal of a fall completion, and invited board members to stop by and inspect the progress.

At Tuesday night's voting session the Logan County Board awarded a construction contract to Illinois Valley Paving in the amount of $82,348.02 for work on the Emden spur overhead.

At the June 14 workshop session, county board members learned that the Chuck Holzwarth Flying Service, which provides crop dusting, seeding and other agricultural services from the Logan County Airport, may be expanding. Negotiations have begun to add to their building to meet their growing needs, according to airport-farm chairman Bill Sahs.

Vickie Hasprey advised that there are quite a few delinquent animal registrations, and Dr. Sanborn is formulating a plan to deal with the animal owners involved. The board also passed approval of contracts for seven area municipalities.

Also, Charles I. Begolka was appointed as a trustee of the Atlanta Rural Fire Protection District.
