Wednesday 'Brown Bag It' summer series

[June 25, 2007]  MINIER -- The H.A. Peine District Library is having a "Brown Bag It" again this year. The series began June 20 and continues on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. with entertainment starting at noon.

The schedule is as follows:
  • June 27 -- Chris Bohne will perform magic tricks.

  • July 11 -- Wildlife Prairie Park will present a program with snakes, birds and a turtle.

  • July 18 -- Bloomsday Irish band with local musician Kevin Loseke will perform.

  • July 25 -- Forest Park Nature Center will present a bug program with spiders, hissing cockroaches and a giant African millipede!

Also, the library will provide an on-site lunch to purchase, consisting of a gondola (one-third for adults, one-fourth for children), chips, a drink and a sweet treat. The charge will be $5 for an adult meal and $3 for a child’s meal, ages 10 and under. Everyone is also welcome to bring their own lunch.

Bring the kids, parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors and join us on Wednesdays for some good old small town fun.
