For the counties of Cass,
Champaign, Christian, Coles, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Logan, Macon,
Mason, McLean, Menard, Morgan, Moultrie, Piatt, Sangamon, Schuyler,
Scott, Shelby and Vermilion: Thursday and Thursday night
Widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected Thursday as a cold
front moves south across Illinois. Heavy rain will be likely with
the stronger storms, especially from Winchester toward Springfield
and Decatur through early afternoon. New rainfall amounts in these
areas may exceed an inch over ground that is already saturated from
previous rain during the past few days. The precipitation should
move out of the area Thursday evening.
