Amber Alert: I-39 abduction

[June 29, 2007]  At the request of Illinois State Police Zone 1 investigations, the Illinois Emergency Alert System was activated for an Amber Alert on Friday at approximately 6:30 a.m. Illinois State Police received a report that a woman, Janice Christopher, and her three children, ages 7, 10 and 11, had been abducted and were in the Streator area on Interstate 39 southbound, mile point 41, and possibly en route to Florida.

Suspects and the abducted subjects are believed to be in a burgundy Dodge Caravan with Illinois license plate number 8447276.

Anyone with information should call 911 and indicate that they have an Amber Alert report.
