Soybeans Increase, Grains Mostly Fall          Send a link to a friend

[June 30, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Soybean futures shot higher and grains finished mostly lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 27 cents to $5.82 a bushel; July corn fell 10 cents to $3.29 1/2 a bushel; July oats rose 5 1/2 cents to $2.78 1/2 a bushel; July soybeans rose 40 1/4 cents to $8.50 a bushel.

Beef futures advanced and pork futures retreated on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose .12 cent to 90.27 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 1.78 cent to $1.1155 a pound; July lean hogs fell .68 cent to 71.22 cents a pound; July pork bellies fell .42 cent to 92.40 cents a pound.
