Zion Lutheran students write winning essays

[March 06, 2007]  Two eighth-graders from Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln received special recognition for their entries in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 263 essay contest, "Americanism -- The Freedom to Choose." Brandon Miller received the first-place award, and Ross Arneaud earned the fourth-place honors.

A total of 72 entries from Logan County schools were submitted.

Brandon's top auxiliary-level essay will be entered in district competition with the opportunity to advance to the state level.
