[March 15, 2007]  Mayor Beth Davis and the city of Lincoln, in cooperation with Hope School of Springfield -- Hope Institute for Children and Families, will sponsor a job fair for individuals wishing to apply for 40 direct-care positions for developmentally disabled children. The job fields are those of registered nurse, licensed practical nurse-CRP, licensed practical nurse, teacher and habitation specialist. The job fair will be at the mayor's office from 9 a.m. to noon March 22.

Human resource representatives from Hope School will be present to assist individuals with their applications. Applicants are asked to bring a current resume, certification credentials and photo ID with them.

The Hope Institute is a not-for-profit center providing educational, residential and health services to children ages 5 to 21 with multiple developmental disabilities, including autism, and their families. Most students live at The Hope Institute year-round and attend either the on-campus accredited school or are enrolled at local public schools. Hundreds of other children with autism and their families receive services through The Autism Program of Hope.
