Seasonal weight limit lasts through April 18         

Excess load permits and coordination with townships needed on county roads

[March 21, 2007]  The Logan County Highway Department will be validating all permits for the remainder of the seasonal weight limit period. This season runs from Jan. 20 through April 18 of each year. Anyone needing to haul loads in excess of the posted weight limits will still need a permit.

These permits are available at the highway department office, 529 S. McLean St., Lincoln, IL 62656; or by calling 217-732-3059. The permit can also be printed off at www.co.logan.il.us/highwaydept. There is no charge for these permits.

Hauling on township roads will still need to be coordinated with the respective township road commissioner.
