Route 121 crash sends three Lincolnites to hospitals

[May 03, 2007]  Emergency personnel responded to a reportedly head-on crash five miles south of Lincoln on Wednesday. Malachi P. Tockey, 17, was the driver of one vehicle. The other vehicle was driven by Terry R. Allen, 49; Ruby F. Allen, 59, was a passenger. All three suffered injuries and are from Lincoln.

Tockey was transported to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Terry Allen was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Ruby Allen was airlifted to St. John's with serious injuries.

The Logan County Sheriff's Department, area fire departments and ambulances responded to the scene.

Illinois State Police Trooper Kink is leading the investigation. An accident reconstructionist officer, Sgt. Ingebrigtsen, was called to the scene to assist.
