The mansion on Elkhart Hill will be open for organized tours (phone
947-2346 to book reservations), and walking tours of the cemetery
and chapel will be conducted by the Elkhart Historical Society
(phone 947-2238 to book tours). Bill Bryson, a local authority on
Indian points and relics, will be on hand in the township hall
showing part of his private collection. The public is invited to
bring in their finds to show Bryson, who will identify and date them
free of charge. This is a rare opportunity to view a fascinating
collection of locally found points and talk to an authority on the
subject.
The winner of a running 50-50 raffle will be announced at the end
of the afternoon. Two hundred tickets will be sold at $10 a ticket.
For more information, please contact 217-947-2100.
