[May 21, 2007]  Helen Doris Whitney, 53, of Lincoln, formerly of Clinton, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at 6:07 a.m. at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center in Galesburg.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Park Meadows Baptist Church, with the Rev. S.M. Davis officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Miss Whitney worked as an assembler at Logan-Mason Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1953, in Clinton to Glen and Catherine Spencer Whitney.

She is survived by two brothers, David (and Barbara) Whitney of Clinton and Michael (and Pamela) Whitney of Clinton; and four sisters, Judy (and Robert) Gilbert of Hartsburg, Shirley (and Gene) Ruger of Clinton, Patsy (and Ed) McGunn of Oak Park and Beverly Feil of Curtisville, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mavis Elwood and Joyce McGarry.

She was a member of Park Meadows Baptist Church, and memorials may be made to the church.
