[May 27, 2007]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Alice J. Wilham Hayes, 92, of Mount Pulaski died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at 12:01 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jeremy Thomason will serve as clergy.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker and worked at the war plant in Illiopolis.

She was born on May 26, 1915, in Logan County to Abner and Maude Ellen Buckles Howe.

She married George Harold Wilham in Peoria on May 13, 1933. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1973.

She married Richard L. Hayes in Mount Zion on Dec. 4, 1986. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2000.

She is survived by one son, G. Larry (and Marilyn) Wilham Sr. of Mount Pulaski; two stepsons, James (and Colleen) Hayes of Sanford, N.C., and Richard R. (and Shirley) Hayes of Mount Pulaski; one stepdaughter, Roberta (and Jack) Boyer of Beverly Hills, Fla.; one brother, Jack Howe of Lincoln; two grandchildren, G. Larry (and Tammy) Wilham Jr. of Elkhart and Brian (and Karla) Wilham of Williamsville; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands and six brothers.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church, the American Legion Post 447 Auxiliary, VFW Post 777 Auxiliary and Mount Pulaski Women's Club.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pulaski EMS or Mount Pulaski Christian Church.
