Grains, soybeans surge          Send a link to a friend

[May 31, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain and soybean futures jumped higher Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery rose 19.75 cents to $5.10.75 a bushel; July corn rose 17.5 cents to $3.82.25 a bushel; July oats rose 3.5 cents to $2.77.5 a bushel; July soybeans rose 10.75 cents to $8.08.25 a bushel.

Beef futures declined and pork futures finished mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 0.30 cent to 90.70 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 1.20 cent to $1.1035 a pound; June lean hogs rose 0.35 cent to 75.27 cents a pound; July pork bellies fell 0.87 cent to $1.0120 a pound.
