[November 03, 2007]  Lincoln College students will help the elderly residents of Lincoln by donating time in raking leaves on Nov. 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The leaf raking event is an annual tradition at Lincoln College and is supported by members of the Lincoln College Student Government, Lincoln College Honors Program and members of Rotaract, which is sponsored by Lincoln's Rotary Club.

According to John Stoltzenburg, director of student activities, the annual event is a way for the students to give back to the community. "The leaf raking project is all about community service, he said. It helps the elderly who need help with their leaves, and our students can feel good about lending a hand. It's truly a great situation for all that are involved," said Stoltzenburg.

For those who would like help with their leaf raking, please call John Stoltzenburg at 735-5050, ext. 327. Requests will be limited and will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and weather permitting.
