"As a multimillion-dollar organization, Logan County needs to be run
in a professional manner," Schumacher said. "Informed policymaking
and fiscal responsibility are critical for the county to be governed
effectively." "As the county moves forward in the 21st century,
long-range planning is essential to take advantage of our strategic
location," she said. "The county board needs to ensure that
recommendations in the new Regional Comprehensive Plan are carried
out so we can create a positive future for our residents."
"With my background as a journalist, I'm familiar with issues
facing the county, ranging from the challenging financial situation
to animal control," she said. "And I'm used to getting to the bottom
of tough situations."
