[November 06, 2007]  Lincoln College Theatre Department will present the classic comedy "The Odd Couple (The Female Version)," opening Nov. 15 in the Hostick Theatre in the Johnston Center for Performing Arts.

"The Odd Couple (The Female Version)" is the female spin on the similar male version, with the weekly poker game replaced by Trivial Pursuit. Florence, like Felix, has recently broken up with her husband, and Olive, like Oscar, invites her to move in with him. The two drive each other crazy with some hilarious results. The production is directed by Lincoln College instructor Martin Holden.

Students performing in "The Odd Couple (The Female Version)" are Cassandra Ellwing of Mundelein in the role of Olive Madison, Madeleine Riehs of Elmhurst in the role of Florence Unger, Vanessa Bolash of Divernon in the role of Sylvie, Tiffany Chander of Peoria in the role of Mickey, Andrea Halbach of Elkhart in the role of Vera, Tinesheia Howard of Chicago in the role of Renee, Stevon Hamilton of Peoria in the role of Jesus Constazuela, and Darrien "Jamie" Burks of Dolton in the role of Manolo Constazuela.

Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15-17, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Nov. 18.

Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $4 for children and senior citizens. To reserve tickets, call 217-732-3155, ext. 280, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
