Agricultural Futures Surge on CBOT

[November 07, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Futures for agricultural products including soybeans and wheat surged Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 13 cents to $7.98 a bushel; December corn added 11 cents to $3.8625 a bushel; December oats gained 6 cents to $2.9675 a bushel; January soybeans surged 24.5 cents to $10.455 a bushel.

Beef futures fell, while pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle fell 0.1 cent to 95.75 cents a pound; January feeder cattle shed 1 cent to $1.0807 a pound; December lean hogs lost 0.9 cent to 51.12 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose 0.95 cent to 85.2 cents a pound.
