[November 08, 2007]  CHAMPAIGN -- There was a buzz of excitement around the Ubben Basketball Practice Facility on Oct. 15 when two of the most identifiable men in the U.S. appeared in the gymnasium. NBC "Today Show" host Matt Lauer and a large television crew flew to Champaign-Urbana to tape a segment on the father-son relationship between NBA legend Michael Jordan and his son Jeff, a freshman on the Fighting Illini basketball team.

NBC has announced that the feature will run Friday, just after 8:30 a.m. The taped piece includes interviews with the Jordans and Illinois basketball coach Bruce Weber.
