[November 08, 2007]  NORMAL -- Senior left tackle Isaiah Wiggins played his final game in an Illinois State uniform last Saturday at North Dakota State, as head coach Denver Johnson announced Wednesday that Wiggins will be suspended for the season finale at Southern Illinois, due to a violation of team rules.

"I'm terribly disappointed," said Johnson. "There is no one on this team that I think any more of than Isaiah. He has had a great career and is a great personal-success story."

Wiggins, a Chicago product and 2006 first-team All-Gateway Football Conference selection, had started the last 38 games for the Redbirds, the most by any player on the roster.

The Redbirds and the Salukis kick off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at McAndrew Stadium. (Game notes)
