Adriane Tschantz, an outside hitter from Decatur, and Megan
Donnelly, a setter from Clinton, were named to First Team
All-American status at the national championship banquet in Omaha,
Neb. Emma Hanford, a middle blocker from Paxton, and Jessica
Schroeder, a libero from Woodlawn, were both recognized as Academic
All-Americans.
The LCC Angels are in Omaha as the fifth-seeded team in the NCCAA
Division II National Championship and will play today (Thursday) at
2 p.m. against Southeastern University and at 6 p.m. against
Clearwater Christian College. Friday's games will be at 2 p.m.
against North Central University and at 6 p.m. against Kentucky
Christian College.
The Angels were moved from Pool B to Pool A and were reseeded to
No. 5 due to Philadelphia Bible being replaced by Northland Baptist
Bible in the tournament.
