[November 20, 2007]  PERRIS, Calif. (AP) -- Scrambled eggs, anyone?

A truck loaded with 30,000 pounds of eggs overturned Monday, covering a rural road with a slippery layer of egg whites and yolks. No one was injured in Monday's crash, which occurred about 10 miles east of Perris in Riverside County.

Authorities had to shut down the road for several hours so workers could remove broken eggs and clean the roadway. Officers are investigating what caused the big rig to overturn.
