[November 20, 2007]  As a way to give back to the community that supports their business, Collision Concepts announces that they will once again host a car giveaway this holiday season.

Collision Concepts, located at 1005 Macon in Lincoln, is looking for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for the annual giveaway. A 2003 Chevy Cavalier will be presented to a deserving family or individual on Dec. 19, along with several other items, including free oil changes.

CIEDC will be collecting applications for the giveaway from eligible individuals. There are several criteria for the giveaway. The family receiving the car must not currently own a vehicle; they must be employed; and they must be insurable. There are several other application criteria that must be met, including a one-page written narrative explaining sincere commitment and determination to become self-sufficient.

"At CIEDC, we recognize that sometimes having access to a vehicle is the difference between employment and unemployment. We are delighted to play a small part in making that difference for a local family by helping accept applications for the Collision Concepts car giveaway," said Angela Stoltzenburg, CIEDC executive director. Individuals can pick up applications and return them to CIEDC Community Action at 1800 Fifth St. Applications are also available from www.collisionconceptsinc.com. The deadline is Dec. 5.

CIEDC is a Community Action agency serving the low-income and senior populations of six counties in central Illinois. For more information, visit www.ciedc.org.
