Play of the Day: Obama's Fridge Signing

CONWAY, N.H. (AP) -- Barack Obama, presidential candidate and best-selling author, has signed plenty of campaign signs and books.

 He got to sign a refrigerator on Tuesday.
Campaigning in New Hampshire, Obama stopped by The Conway Daily Sun to sign what is affectionately known as "Refrigerator One," a fridge his rivals also have signed. The newspaper plans to sell it on eBay when the New Hampshire primary ends and donate the proceeds to charity.
"I have never signed a refrigerator before," Obama deadpanned for the Conway Daily Sun newsroom.
He pulled a permanent marker from his coat pocket.
"I am always prepared. You never know when you might need to have to sign a refrigerator," he said.
The left-handed Obama scrawled, "Thanks for the great way to help charities. It's unique."
He then read some of the other notes.
"This wasn't so painful," Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo had written.

 "What exactly were you guys doing to him?" Obama said to laughter.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Chris Dodd of Connecticut also have signed it.
A reporter asked Obama the same question he posed to all candidates who visit: What three figures do you want to have dinner with?
Obama replied: "Jesus, Gandhi and Lincoln. Not a bad list."
