Salvation Army Announces Rental Assistance Program

[November 29, 2007]  The Salvation Army announces its "Home for Christmas" rental assistance program.

Criteria:

• Client must make appointment: 732-7890.

• Program dates: Dec. 3-21

• Must be a legitimate, landlord-owned rental property.

• $250 assistance limit for up to 20 families.

• Applicant must have:

  1. Eviction notice in hand.

  2. Letter from landlord saying that he or she will accept Salvation Army funding and will not evict for at least 30 days.

  3. Proof that any overage amount owed has been paid first.

  4. Photo IDs, Social Security cards for all in household and legitimate, signed rent-lease agreement.
