Mason City Sisters of the Swish remembered

[October 02, 2007]  MASON CITY -- A group of lovely ladies participated in the Sisters of the Swish fashion show and contest during the community's recent sesquicentennial celebration.

Ladies who won prizes for the loveliest outfits were Janet King, first, and Joan Swaar, second. Mrs. Swaar also won the prize for the most complete outfit. She sewed her own winning costume.

The younger lasses winning prizes for their dress were Kristine Blankenship and Mary

Leamon, first, and Jenna Miller, second. Kristine and Mary, wearing identical dress and being good friends, also won the prize for the most complete outfit.

Other participants were Vida Harrison, Jacklynn Curry, Carol Marshall, Pat Elmore, Brooklynn Elsas, Casey Miller, Gaye Maxson, JeanneWunderle, Dee Thompson and Tiffany Holiday.

Thanks to all who participated. We had a great day!
