Wheat, corn prices tumble on CBOT          Send a link to a friend

[October 05, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Wheat and corn prices fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while soybean prices rose.

Wheat for December delivery fell 21 cents to close at $9.06 a bushel; December corn dipped 2.25 cents to $3.4225 a bushel; December oats lost 5.25 cents to $2.7425 a bushel; November soybeans rose 3.25 cents to $9.5425 a bushel.

Beef futures ended higher while pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle rose 0.45 cent a pound to 97.85 cents a pound; November feeder cattle rose 0.35 cent to $1.1505 a pound; December lean hogs slipped 0.53 cent to 60.07 cents a pound; February pork bellies dropped 0.58 cent to 87.32 cents a pound.
