Soybean, wheat futures jump on CBOT     Send a link to a friend

[October 11, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures climbed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade, as soybeans led the gains.

Wheat for December delivery rose 7.5 cents to close at $8.53 a bushel; December corn added 4.75 cents to $3.4725 a bushel; December oats added 2.5 cents to $2.74 a bushel; November soybeans jumped 18 cents to $9.6825 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle rose 0.12 cent to 96.62 cents a pound; November feeder cattle fell 0.18 cent to $1.1307 a pound; December lean hogs rose 0.05 cent to 59.77 cents a pound; February pork bellies dipped 1.05 cents to 85.67 cents a pound.
