Students receive Behrends Scholarship

Sophomores Jenna Bergman, Nicole Buse, Drew
Olson and Demetrios Vanos are this year's recipients of the Anna K.
and Bernard E. Behrends Scholarship at Lincoln College.

Bergman, a 2004 graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School, is studying
general education courses and is currently working toward an
Associate of Arts degree. She is the daughter of Aaron and Dena
Bergman of Emden.
Buse, a 2006 Hartsburg-Emden High School
graduate, is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College, with an
emphasis in classes in business administration. She is active with
the Lincoln College softball team. She is the daughter of Lynn and
Tammy Buse of Hartsburg.
Olsen, a 2005 Hartsburg-Emden High School graduate, is taking
liberal arts courses at Lincoln College, with an emphasis in classes
in business administration. He is the son of Tracy and Stacy Olson
of Hartsburg.

Vanos, a 1999 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is
currently studying general education courses. He was on the spring
2007 Special Honors List. He is the son of Stacie Behrends of
Lincoln and the late John Vanos.
The Anna K. and Bernard E. Behrends Scholarship is awarded to
students in good academic standing who are graduates of surrounding
county high schools. The award honors siblings Bernard (LC Class of
'48) and the late Anna Behrends (LC Class of '36).
