Dexter receives James Hickey Memorial Scholarship          Send a link to a friend

[October 16, 2007]  Derek Dexter, son of Duane and Brenda Dexter of Lincoln, is this year's recipient of the James Hickey Scholarship at Lincoln College.

Dexter, a 2006 Lincoln Community High School graduate, is taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College. He plans to continue his education to pursue a degree in business administration. He has achieved academic success and was on the fall 2006 Special Honors List as well as the spring 2007 President's List.

The James Hickey Scholarship is awarded to a worthy student from the area and is given in memory of James Hickey, a former member of the Lincoln College board of trustees and curator of the Lincoln Collection for the state of Illinois.
