PLAN includes academic tests, an evaluation of study skills and an
interest inventory. Students who participate in the assessment
receive information that will help them plan their remaining years
in high school. The results of the testing also help them evaluate
career and educational goals for life after high school. The
program provides practical information about a student's academic
progress, career interests and study habits, as well as present and
future plans, needs and goals. This information can help guide
10th-graders in the selection of high school courses and activities.
It can also increase students' awareness of career and educational
possibilities.
Participants receive a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report
of their results and an interpretive guide to help students and
parents understand and use the information.
Sophomores are invited and encouraged to participate. The test
will be given at school on Nov. 7. The cost is $9.40 per student.
Deadline to register is Nov. 2. More information is available from
Nancy Baker, Mount Pulaski High School guidance counselor.
