Soybean, corn prices jump on CBOT       Send a link to a friend

[October 19, 2007]  CHICAGO (AP) --  Agriculture futures finished higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, with corn and soybeans leading the gains.

Wheat for December delivery added 5 cents to $8.255 a bushel; December corn picked up 9.25 cents to $3.6725 a bushel; December oats rose 3.25 cents to $2.82 a bushel; November soybeans jumped 17.25 cents to $9.915 a bushel.

Beef futures rose and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle rose 0.43 cent to 97.7 cents a pound; November feeder cattle rose 0.15 cent to $1.1222 a pound; December lean hogs rose 0.37 cent to 57.37 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell 0.35 cent to 82.97 cents a pound.
