"It is personally satisfying to know that the tests I complete are
helping doctors take better care of their patients," she said.
Kohler completed her lab training at Brokaw School of Medical
Technology in Normal. She worked at hospitals in Normal and Kewanee
before coming to ALMH.
Today, new lab technologists must earn either an associate or
bachelor's degree in science, complete clinical rotations at
hospital labs, and pass a certification test.
