CUB SCOUTS BADGES

Kahoot Products Inc. is recalling Cub Scouts Totem Badges sold nationwide from January 2000 to September 2007. The surface paints on the badges contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

The recalled Cub Scout Totem Badges measure 4½ inches x 3 inches with a square portion measuring 2¼ inches x 2¼ inches. The Boy Scout emblem is printed on the badge along with a wolf and bear. "PROGRESS TOWARD RANKS" is also printed on the badge.

LIGHT FIXTURES SOLD BY HOME DEPOT

Lithonia Lighting is recalling Lithonia Lighting Nickel End Wrap Fluorescent Ceiling Light Fixtures sold exclusively at Home Depot stores nationwide from June 2007to August 2007. A wire inside the light fixture could be loose, posing an electrical shock hazard.

The recall involves the Lithonia Lighting Nickel End Wrap fluorescent ceiling light fixtures model number "New 2 32 120 RE BN" and date code "N050807". The light fixtures measure four feet long and consist of two brushed nickel end caps and a clear plastic cover for the fluorescent tubes. "Lithonia Lighting", the model number, and the date code can be found on the shipping box or on a label located inside the fixture, next to the fluorescent tube. To read the label on the fixture, consumers should turn the power off at the home's circuit breaker and remove the plastic cover of the light fixture. 

 

Consumers should return the product to Home Depot to receive a full refund or free replacement.

STARBUCKS PLASTIC CUPS

Starbucks Coffee Co. is recalling Children's Plastic Cups sold exclusively at Starbucks stores nationwide from May 2006 to August 2007. If the cup is dropped, the colorful face on the cup can break off and leave small parts or sharp exposed edges that can pose a choking or laceration hazard.

The recall includes four styles of Starbucks children's plastic 10-ounce cups. Styles include: "Dot" Red Ladybug; "Dash" Green Turtle; Bunny Pink; and Chick Yellow cups.

Toshiba America Consumer Products is recalling AC Adapters sold with Portable DVD Players sold nationwide from January 2005 to April 2006. The AC adapters can fail, causing the portable DVD player to overheat.

 

This recall involves the AC adapter sold with the Toshiba portable DVD player Model SD-P1600. "Toshiba" and ADPV16 can be found on the side of the adapter. "Toshiba", Model SD-P1600, and the serial number can be found on a rating label on the bottom of the cabinet for the DVD player.

MINI RACING HELMETS

 

Riddell Inc. is recalling collectible "Jeff Gordon" Mini Helmets sold nationwide from February 2007 to October 2007. Surface paints on the recalled helmets contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

 

The recalled product is a six-inch tall, collectible, miniature helmet, modeled after the helmet worn by race car driver Jeff Gordon. The helmet is red and blue with a black visor, and is painted with various sponsor logos and playing cards. The UPC number 095855720029 is located on the bottom of the product's packaging. No other Riddell mini helmet models are included in this recall.

DINOSAUR TOYS

 

Kipp Brothers is recalling bendable dinosaur toys sold nationwide from October 2006 to August 2007. The recalled toys pose a risk of lead exposure to young children.

 

The bendable dinosaur toys are about three inches long and come in brown, green or orange/green colors. While the toys were sold in boxes of 36, consumers may have received these products as a giveaway or promotional item from schools, libraries, churches, community groups, etc.

The recalled play set consists of 23 pieces including: either a white or black baby doll and assorted Winnie-the-Pooh themed items such as a diaper bag, blanket, playpen, highchair, swing, stroller, and carrying bags.

The recalled art set consists of a wooden box with several pull-out trays containing 177 different art items, including paints and brushes.

The recall involves a stirrup-shaped ornament with a white prancing horse and blue ribbons. "2006" is stamped on the rim of the ornament.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is recalling Princess Magnetic Travel Art Set Lap Desks sold nationwide at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations from April 2007 to August 2007. The surface paint on the zipper pull of the lap desk contains lead in excess of the federal lead paint standard.

 

The recalled Travel Art Set Lap Desk is a zippered case that opens into a lap desk with markers, crayons, and magnetic pieces. The lap desk is 10 3/4-inches wide and is pink colored. "Made in China" and item number 266822 are printed on a sticker located on the product's packaging.

The recall involves a foam balance beam measuring 72-inches x 4-inches x 1/2-inch with a blue vinyl cover. A yellow Kidnastics logo is printed on the top of the beam.

POWER TOOL BATTERIES CAN OVERHEAT

 

Alltrade Tools is recalling Kawasaki branded Power Tool Batteries sold nationwide from September 2005 to September 2007. The battery packs can overheat and melt during charging, or fracture during use and expel plastic shards, posing burn, laceration, and bruise hazards to consumers.

 

The recalled batteries are used to supply power to drills and other power tools. The recall includes 19.2 and 21.6 volt NiCad battery packs. The battery model number is located on a label on the bottom of the battery pack. The power tool's model number is stamped onto the inside lid of the tool set's plastic carrying case. J.C. PENNEY SHAG RUGS

 

J.C. Penney is recalling  "Alyssa" Shag Rugs sold by J.C. Penney nationwide from June 2007 to August 2007. The rugs fail to meet federal standards for flammability and could ignite, posing a risk of fire and burn injuries.

 

This recall involves "Alyssa" shag rugs that were available in the following dimensions: 2' x 3' oval, 4' x 6' oval, 5' x 8' oval, 8' x 11' oval, 8' round, and a 2' x 6' rectangular runner. The rugs have a one-inch pile height and were available in four color patterns: red/natural/brown, chocolate/olive/natural, gold/rust/natural, and blue/rust/green/natural.

GAS REGULATORS

 

Fisher Controls International is recalling Model HSR natural gas regulators and various models of LP-gas regulators sold nationwide from March 2007 to June 2007. Gas can leak from regulator's flanges when flange screw heads break, posing a fire or explosion hazard.

 

The recalled gas regulators were manufactured from March 2007 through May 2007 and installed on natural gas or LP-gas supply systems in homes and small commercial buildings. The recalls involves model HSR natural gas regulators and LP-gas regulators with model numbers 67CD, 67CH, 67CN, and 67CW, HSRL, R622, R622E, R622H, R632, R642, R652, R652E, R122H, R222, or R232. The model number can be found on a white label attached to the regulator spring case. The date of manufacture is also stamped on the regulator.

 

Consumers who had a natural gas or LP-gas system installed with a recalled regulator should immediately contact the company that provides their natural gas or LP-gas services to receive a replacement regulator installed free-of-charge.

DOUBLE HAMMOCKS

 

Collections Etc. Inc. is recalling Double Hammocks sold nationwide from May 2007 to August 2007. The wooden rods at the head and foot of the hammock used to extend the fabric can break, causing the hammock to collapse and the user to fall to the ground.

 

This recall involves hammocks made with a solid green fabric and white support ropes. The hammocks' green fabric measures 73-inches long by 46-inches wide and supports a maximum of up to 350lbs.

Ross Stores Inc. is recalling Turtle Sprinklers sold nationwide from March 2007 to September 2007. The turtle's body can fill with water, causing it to crack or explode, posing a laceration hazard.

 

The turtle sprinkler is made of plastic resin and measures about 6 ½-inches tall. The SKU number 400022708494 is printed on a label located on the underside of the sprinkler.

Yamaha Motor Corporation is recalling 2007 Model Year PZ50 Snowmobiles sold nationwide from June 2006 to September 2007. Snow and ice stuck around the steering idler arm can cause a loss of steering ability, posing a risk of injury and death. 

This recall involves all model year 2007 PZ50 snowmobiles, including PZ50W (Phazer), PZ50FXW (Phazer FX), PZ50GTW (Phazer GT), PZ50MW (Phazer Mountain Lite), and PZ50VTW (Venture Lite) model snowmobiles.

DISC BRAKES FOR BICYCLES 

Formula Brake USA is recalling Oro Disc Brakes used on bicycles sold nationwide from May 2005 to July 2007. The brake's hand lever can separate, resulting in loss of braking. This can cause the rider to lose control of the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to riders. 

This recall involves Oro disk brakes typically installed on mountain bikes. Included in the recall are the Oro K18, Oro K24, Oro Puro and Oro Bianco models with serial numbers less than 295237. The serial number can be located on the brake's body above the "Made in Italy" label.

HUFFY BICYCLES SOLD AT K-MART 

Huffy Corp. is recalling 2007 Huffy "Howler" and "Highland" Bicycles sold nationwide at K-Mart Storesfrom May 2007 to July 2007. The bicycle crank can unexpectedly come off, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer serious injuries. 

The recall involves 2007 model year, multi-speed bicycles with 26-inch, 24-inch or 20-inch wheels. The "Howler" was sold in black (model K3587, boy's model), blue (model K4587, men's model), and red (model K6587, men's model). The "Highland" was sold in white (model K4597, women's model) and blue (model K6597, women's model). Model numbers are located on a label on the bottom of the frame where the crank is attached to the bicycle.

Procycle Group Inc. is recalling Rocky Mountain-Solo Bicycles sold nationwide from August 2006 to July 2007. The head tube can detach from the rest of the frame, posing a fall hazard to consumers. 

This recall involves the Rocky Mountain Bicycles brand of Solo bicycles. The models included in this recall are: 2006 SOLO CR50, 2006 SOLO CR70, and 2007 SOLO CR LTD. The bicycles have a full carbon Columbus frame. "Rocky Mountain" and "Solo" are printed on the head tube.

ALUMINUM CHIMENEAS 

Plow & Hearth is recalling aluminum chimeneas sold by Plow & Hearth from March 2007 to August 2007. A design flaw can cause the aluminum on the chimeneas to catch fire or melt under high temperatures, posing fire and burn hazards. 

The chimeneas are outdoor fireplaces that are aluminum, have a removable spark guard, a wrought iron base, and a four-sided screen.

DEERE & COMPANY UTILITY VEHICLES 

Deere & Company is recalling John Deere Gator Utility Vehicles sold nationwide from June 2007 to September 2007. The brake calipers in the front of the utility vehicles may have been installed incorrectly, causing the vehicle to pull to one side during braking.

GLOW STICKS SOLD BY DUNKIN' DONUTS 

Dunkin' Donuts LLC is recalling pink and orange glow sticks (free giveaway with donuts) sold nationwide at Dunkin' Donuts stores from September 2007 to October 2007. The recalled glow sticks are not properly labeled to warn consumers that the cap and lanyard can detach, posing a choking hazard. Additionally, the lanyard poses a strangulation hazard to young children. 

The pink and orange glow sticks were given away free with purchases of donuts..

Consumers should return the glow sticks to any Dunkin' Donuts for a free donut.

Guidecraft Inc. is recalling tabletop Puppet Theaters sold nationwide from June 2006 to August 2007. Surface paints on the puppet theater's wooden panels contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. 

The recalled puppet theater has red panels on the front and sides and a chalkboard signboard on top. The puppet theater measures about 24-inches in length, 6-inches in width and about 28-inches in height.

This recall involves the Albert's Halloween skull pails filled with candy mix. The skull-shaped pail is white with green eyes, nose and teeth. The pail has a clear lid with a label in which "Albert's" and "Skull Pails Filled with Halloween Candy Mix" is printed. 

Consumers should return the pails to the retailer where it was purchased to receive a full refund.

PAYLESS SHOESOURCE GIRLS' BOOTS 

Payless ShoeSource Inc. is recalling girls' boots sold at Payless ShoeSource stores nationwide from August 2007 to September 2007. The guitar-shaped zipper pulls on each boot can interlock while a child is walking, causing the child to trip and fall. 

This recall involves black jeweled girls' boots. The boots have a silhouette of a guitar on the outer leg and a guitar-shaped zipper pull on the inner leg. "Hannah Montana" is engraved on the boot outsole and a photo of the singer and show's character is printed on the box.

This recall involves Gorilla Kong Maxx Ladder Stands with model number 43032 and batch numbers G051507, G051507D, G061507D, G071507D, and G081507D. Model numbers are printed on the box only. Batch numbers are stamped on the vertical rail of the first ladder section.

SPORTSSTUFF AIR PUMPS 

Sportsstuff Inc. is recalling Inflator Air Pumps (sold separately and included with "Launch Pod" Water Trampolines) sold nationwide from January 2004 to January 2005. The air pumps can overheat and explode during use, posing a risk of lacerations. 

The recalled products are air pumps with model numbers 57-1504-A and 57-1504 that are used to inflate low pressure inflatable items such as rafts and toys. The Model 57-1504-A pump was sold separately with an assortment of interlocking nozzles. The Model 57-1504 pump was sold with the Sportsstuff "Launch Pod", an inflatable water trampoline. The model number and the date code "0104" are located on the label on the top of the pump.

The Gymboree Corp. is recalling toy pirate swords sold nationwide from August 2007 to September 2007. The swords can break, creating a sharp point, which poses a laceration hazard. 

This recall involves a toy pirate sword with SKU number 140025491-GYS049. The SKU number is printed on the price tag above the bar code. The sword is made of plastic, and has a gold-colored handle and a gray plastic blade 

Consumers return the swords to any Gymboree store for a full refund.
