[October 26, 2007]  SAN JOSE -- The annual bazaar and turkey supper at San Jose United Methodist Church has occurred in various forms for well over 50 years. This year's event will be Nov. 7. Bazaar booths will open at 3:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and serving of the supper starts at 4 p.m.

Bazaar booths will feature a country store with homemade pies, baked goods and breads; homemade candies such as caramels, peanut brittle, peanut butter balls, fudge and more; Rada cutlery; cookbooks; hand-woven and crocheted rugs; and cards.

The supper menu features roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn and green beans, salad, dessert and drinks. Carryouts will be available.

Advance tickets for dine-in or carryout may be purchased from Jeane and Rachel Woll at 309-247-3272, from any UMW member, or at the door.

New this year is the "Nativity Project," featuring unique Nativity sets, craft and art items handcrafted or painted by local artisans, as well as beautiful, hand-crafted ceramic, wood and metal Nativities, offered through the Twice Giving Shop of the UM Midwest Mission Distribution Center, from over 15 different developing countries.
