IESA State Speech Contest Results     Send a link to a friend

Zion Lutheran School

[October 30, 2007]  PETERSBURG -- Thirteen Zion Lutheran School students received top marks at the IESA State Speech Contest at Porta Junior High on Friday.

Kendall Katz and Will Podbelsek received a top Judge's Choice Award as well as a "1" rating for their duet acting performance entitled "Open to Interpretation."

Other Zion students receiving a "1" rating in regular duet acting were Morgan Conrady and Lauren Stanfield, Justin Hassebrock and Lukas Nash, Katrina Green and Erika White, and Jesse Mangano and Josh Mangano.

Earning a "1" rating in improvisational duet acting were Katz and Stanfield, Jesse Mangano and Josh Mangano, Christian Arteman and Podbelsek, and Grace Sheley and Jason Sheley.

Desirae Albert and Arteman received a "2" rating for solo acting. Caleb Sager, Grace Sheley, Elizabeth Tripplett and Albert also received a "2" for small group acting.

Coaches of the Zion team are Marty Ahrends and Marcia Arneaud.
